Swamp birch, plane trees, silver maple,sugar maple and black walnut

We planted roughly 3500 trees as part of a reforestation project after the spring 2024 wind storm completely destroyed a 12 acres mature spruce plantation. There was a phase 1 last spring with roughly 7000 trees of numerous species. I also planted on my farm, around the poultry barns, 5 red oaks and about 10 white oaks that I grew out of acorns (pictured here).

My farm is on the destructive Alto path, and 3 generations of hard work and sacrifices might be gone when this is over. I have 2 daughters who work with me, 4th generation.. and 2 grdaughters with us also daily, that could end up being 5th generation on this small piece of land.

2 lots of 42 acres.... 15360 laying hen on one and 23040 on the other. That's my whole life... my dad and grpa.. who got here in 1945 with 5 kids and no money.. every thing he got was invested in those small pieces of land. My stress level is very high and my mental health challenged ever since I got my Alto letters on April 10th. Hoping with all my heart we're able to stop that crazy train from destroying our lives !
