Following a community roundtable thet touched on mental health in the context of the ALTO HSR project, Isabel decided that she would plant a new tree on her property as a symbol of hope. Hope that she would get to see this tree grow to maturity, on her land.

She would plant this tree on April 17, 2026 as a symbol of the solidarity and determination she felt within the community. As she felt this renewed resolve, she wished she could share this feeling with others in her community who needed it. That is the moment when Trees for Hope started.
